Title: Help Desk Support Specialist

Location: Perth, Western Australia

 

Job Description: As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing technical assistance and support to resolve their IT issues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries and providing timely technical support via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including networking problems, system failures, and peripheral malfunctions.
  • Logging all customer interactions, documenting issues, and tracking resolutions in our ticketing system.
  • Escalating complex technical issues to the appropriate IT personnel for further investigation and resolution.
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and network devices.
  • Providing training and guidance to end-users on how to effectively use IT resources and applications.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an Australian Certificate course in IT from TAFE (Technical and Further Education) OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a help desk support role or similar position, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Individuals with credible course training or certificate training in IT will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and productivity software.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
